PostHeaderIcon The Home Based Business Is Perfect For Entrepreneurs

Imagine for a moment that you are sitting in your comfortable office at home.  You are beginning the day with enthusiasm about the prospects of what your personal efforts will produce.  At your discretion, you decide what, how and when the necessary tasks will be done.

You understand that your income is contingent upon your performance as an entrepreneur.  You have chosen to take on responsibilities that will certainly be hampered by challenges and setbacks.  But, you have a mindset of positive expectancy and you plan your work accordingly.

Careful consideration has been given to the status of your personal finances and how you will handle expenses and surprise expenditures.  Your goals have been realistically set and your plans to succeed are prepared with confidence and a measure of flexibility.

Your loved ones understand the purpose of your endeavor and have agreed to support you.

What was just described may seem like a fairytale set up for changing one’s life from living under the structure of management in a traditional job.  But, right now, people all over the world are making this sweeping conversion to home based businesses.

In fact, men and women from all walks of life are quietly amassing handsome incomes by hunkering down with their work from home enterprises.  At no time in our history has there been such a clear opportunity to take action for operating one’s own small business.  The technology that is now available, such as the Internet and marketing techniques, provides a very real means for competing with larger businesses.

To get started in your own home based business there are several fundamental guidelines that should be considered.  First, it is important to research the business possibilities that fit well for a work at home enterprise.  Then decide which one best matches with your interests, abilities, and personality.  Next, realistically set your goals, plan your strategy, and carefully put into action the details of your new enterprise.

Today there are hundreds, if not thousands, of well-designed marketing programs that are ready to be implemented.  In other words, unless you are a start-from-scratch person, many of these marketing programs are ready and mostly work on ‘autopilot’.  In this case, the work is dedicated to driving targeted traffic to the program you are operating.

There is one word of caution that unfortunately needs to be addressed.  That is, while there are so many outstanding business opportunities to choose from, there are also those that are not above board (they are scams).  When you finally find the enterprise that suits your needs, absolutely do your research and make sure your choice is reputable.

Keep in mind that to start a business from home does not mean ‘all or nothing at all’.  Most people begin their enterprises on a part-time basis and continue working their jobs until the home business provides the greater income.

The bottom line goal of having a home based business is to know that your time and energy is dedicated toward a potential income that has no ceiling, the chance to live without the constraints of financial worry, and to give you the time to do the things you truly enjoy.

PostHeaderIcon You CAN Make Money Selling Affiliate Products

There has been a lot of talk on the web amongst marketers on how to make money selling other people’s products.
Who wants to spend the time and money creating your own when you don’t need to?
This article is about selling affiliate products and doing it the right way.
First, you need to find the ‘right’ affiliate product. One that is in a hot niche market. Say weight loss. But it’s very crowded you say? Right, that means it also is very lucrative. People don’t spend time and money on a market that isn’t returning a healthy profit.
The easiest way to find a hot product in weight loss would be to go to www.clickbank.com and search the marketplace. There are a couple of factors to keep in mind. One, look for a product that is popular and has a high percentage of affiliate sales. What that means is the product is selling well and most sales are created by affiliates indicating that the product owner has a good sales page and isn’t competing heavily with his affiliates.
Secondly, there are two web sites, one free and the other offers a free trial that gives you a ton of metrics or statistics. www.cbtrends.com and www.cbengine.com are excellent places to look for that golden affiliate program.
They offer insider info as well as Popularity Rank, Gravity, Earned Per Sale, Percent Per Sale, Commission, or Referred values. Armed with this inside knowledge you are ready to find the ‘perfect’ product to promote.
Next, create a landing page or review page. It doesn’t have to be more than a couple of paragraphs but should offer something to make you stand out from the rest of the affiliates. A time-limited offer or a bonus of value are two ways to separate yourself and help the prospect to click on your link rather than someone else’s.
There are many ways to start getting sales. Free ways and those that cost some bucks.
A few of the free ways are blogs, forum posting, article writing and sending an email to your list.
Those that are worthy of your hard earned money are:
Newsletters and pay per click search engines.
Make sure you check out the newsletter first. Subscribe and see how many ads are in each issue and ask what the wait time is for your solo ad. Only use solo ads.
The top ppc’s are of course, Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture). You can start to get hits or clicks to your landing page with a 15 minutes with adwords. Make sure you understand how to find keywords (use only the most direct keywords to test your campaign). Also how to write attention getting headlines and since you only get 25 characters per line, how to get people to click through.
These are the easiest and fastest ways to start making money with other people’s products.

PostHeaderIcon Golden Goose and Mlm

You know the story of the goose that laid the golden egg, but the greedy owners began to think they weren’t getting rich fast enough, and, imagining the bird must be made of gold inside, they decided to kill it in order to secure the whole store of precious metal at once.

But when they cut it open they found it was just like any other goose. Thus, they neither got rich all at once, as they had hoped, nor enjoyed any longer the daily addition to their wealth.

When some think of multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing, they figure it’s a get-rich-quick “loaded goose” and find soon that their lofty dreams of sudden wealth are turned into a chopped up disappointment.

Then adding to their frustration, the disapproving relatives and friends swoop in to say “I told you so. Network marketing is just a fly-by-night scheme to make innocent people think they can become wealthy when in reality only the rich in company make it to the top.” Sounds like a cut up goose with a fork and a knife doesn’t it?

Well, guess what, it isn’t that way at all.  Before you grab that white MLM goose by the neck, take a good look at what you’re butchering. You might want to keep your feathery friend around, quietly dropping her golden eggs one at a time.

She’s an enterprising lady, a free thinker with time on her hands to enjoy life while she turns out her product. Think of the residual income if every once in awhile she produces a batch of little goslings that repeat her efforts.  Think of the job security!

Consider also what her downy cousins in the business world produce. Corporate America creams off big profits while diligent birdies at the bottom work long hours to make a living. Those top hawks profit from their salesmen, office workers, service employees, staff, on down to the janitors who labor hard to earn their paychecks with no real hope of getting ahead, let alone earn like the elusive leaders in the company.

Day after day the millions of chickadees work hard with little time left to enjoy family, build their assets or discover their dreams. Add to that, stress which causes health problems and retirement that is meager and in a distant haze, you’ve painted the job world in its true dull colors. No peacocks here!

When you think of it, the big difference between network marketing and corporate America is that you are the CEO of your own company for a minimum investment, with hope for residual income and an opportunity to help others have that same vision which is unlike the stiff competition corporate companies promote.

Those precious golden eggs are multiplied in MLM because the goose doesn’t want to fly away. Why should she? There’s no rival for her ingenious products and marketing plan. She flies around with other positive birds and is always helping others get their golden lady.  Only a few will find her.

That’s because it’s work to own a golden goose, a job you created that takes effort. And frankly, some people cannot visualize themselves with that kind of responsibility and discipline. It means stretching out of their comfort zone, but totally worth doing. Go for it and fly!

Are you ready to own a golden goose?

PostHeaderIcon Affiliate Products or Create Your Own? You Decide…

Every business need products or services to sell and without these you DO NOT have a businesss. Makes sense, right?

If you are thinking of starting an online business you need to decide whether you want to sell your own products or whether you want to do as I do and sell other peoples’ for commissions.

I have been making a full-time income from home as an Affiliate Marketer since 2004. I sell other people products and services.

If you are new to online marketing you may not believe it is possible to sell without ones own products. I was convinced when the company checks started rolling in.

Let us first look at some ideas for creating your own product.

Discovering what people need and want is tantamount to finding a lucrative market for your work at home business. There are three things you should look for in determining the profitability of a particular market:

1. How great is the demand? 2. How scarce is the supply? Or restated, how much competition will you encounter? 3. Will you be able to provide for this demand?

If the answer to all the three considerations above are favorable, then you have for yourself a good market that your online home business can cater to.

Of course, there are some tricks and tactics that you could use to find ideal markets. Here are some of them:

* Go to www.inventory.overture.com or www.nichebot.com and type in the type of business you wish to pursue. The results will show how many searches were made, direct or related, for that particular subject over the past few weeks.

* Make a search for the same business type in any of the search engines. These results will show how abundant or scarce your competition will be.

* From time to time, there are special reports that are published which enumerate hot niches waiting to be exploited. Niches, of course, are highly specialized markets that most businesses tend to overlook.

Once you find a market, it’s time to come up with a product. Information products, ie. E-books, are the most ideal for your online home business. They can be digitally delivered, and they don’t require physical space for stocking.

There are four popular ways by which you could come up with an information product for your online home business:

* You could create these products yourself. Maybe you are an expert in a certain area? Could you write a special report? Don’t forget to check out if there is a demand for the info as outlined above.

* You could hire someone to create them for you. Elance.com is a favourite for online marketers to have products created and I have used them on quite a few occasions myself.

* You could use existing products that have been created by others, through the purchase of their resale rights.

Mike Hill is an expert on using Public Domain Works for this purpose. You can check out his site here: http://www.malkeenan.com/offers/publicdomainworks.html

Then there is Affiliate Marketing…..

You can join affiliate programs in 1000s of different markets in almost any topic imaginable and choose to pre-sell any of the products they have to offer. As mentioned above this is my preferred method.

When choosing affiliate products you want something of quality which also offers high commissions. Most quality affiliate programs will also offer tools in the form of graphics and pre-written ad copy to help you make your money.

Some affiliate programs will offer 75% commission to you for selling their service online. I would be looking for at least 50%, especially for low priced products like e-books.

For high priced items, marketing seminars, marketing course etc. I would expect 30-50%.

The benefits of selling affiliate products is that you don’t have to worry about payment processors nor product support, which can be a nightmare.

Selling affiliate products frees up a lot of my time. The way I see it, there is no point working at home unless it allows me more freedom to do the things I like to do.

Whether you choose your own product or to go the affiliate route there is a lot of money to be made, IF you do the right things.

I am here to make your decision easier and give you whatever help and advice I can to enable you to proceed.

Contact me anytime for ideas and advice.

I genuinely want to help.

PostHeaderIcon Be Your Own Boss Work at Home

Many individuals are looking for great ways to earn money. One of the fastest growing trends is to work at home. Working at home is a fantastic way for mothers and fathers alike to work from home while being with the kids. Just as much, when one works at home, it can save a great deal of money on gas and other expenditures required to get to and from work every day.
While the Internet offers many work at home programs, people need to be cautious about the work at home programs that are available because not all work
at home programs are legit. Such fraudulent programs may include some of the following: stuffing envelopes, telecommuting with potential customers, and posting advertisements for various companies on the Internet.

Stuffing envelopes sounds like an easy work at home job. The companies that offer these services claim that their work at home employees earn an upwards
of $1.00 for every envelope that they stuff and send out. In often case, this is not true. Most of the envelope stuffing companies are not legit, as money must first be paid for a kit, and then an information kit is provided. Many people think that making money stuffing envelopes is a great way to earn money from home, when in fact, it truly isn’t. These companies will often send people lists of names, sometimes including phone books from various cities. The worker must then try to send out envelope advertisements to
particular individuals. The workers will only get a percentage of the profits made from a sale. So the claim that thousands of dollars can be made in one week is simply not true with stuffing envelopes as a work at home job.

There are also companies that try to recruit workers by stating that they can call potential customers from their home. Just as the envelopes that are to be mailed out, many of the workers profits rely heavily on the sales that are made from potential customers. Long distance charges can apply when a work at home telecommuting job is in practice. Many people cannot afford the long distance bills that they will receive, and if any money is made from the calls, it will be not enough or just enough to pay for the long distance charges.

Other ways that companies try to profit from those that seek a work at home job are Internet companies. Some organizations claim that if you work for
them to help advertise their company, that you will be paid. The work may include sending out e-mails, as well as posting advertisements in chats and forums. This type of advertisement is often seen as spamming. When an advertisement is spammed, the Internet e-mail, message board and or chat server is notified. In turn, these servers will block any future advertisements that come from particular IP addresses. That being said, trying to earn money from posting advertisements is a very difficult way to work at home.

Individuals enjoy being able to work at home. With the right research, anyone can earn good money with a reputable company working from home. To work at home truly is a blessing for many people, and continues to be an ever popular trend among individuals today.

PostHeaderIcon 8 Top Tips to Ensure Your Home Based Business Runs Smoothly

8 Top Tips to Ensure Your Home Based Business Runs Smoothly If you’re well on your way to homebased business success, these management tips will help you stay on top of your game. Leaving corporate America to run a homebased business is the ideal situation for many people: There’s no boss breathing down your neck, no boring meetings to attend and no 45-minute drives in rush hour traffic. Working from home can be a rewarding experience, but it’s easy to forget the basic rules of running a successful business when it’s 10 hours of just you, your computer and the distractions of home. After a lot of experience in this field I thought I would put together a few points to help you run your home based business smoothly.” Structure your day. The problem a lot of homebased business owners have is that they no longer have a boss standing over them making sure they get their work done, or a tangible start and end of each workday. It’s easy to let time slip by as you head to the refrigerator, catch a few minutes of TV, or dive into a project first thing in the morning, neglecting the other tasks you need to perform to keep your business running smoothly. You need to make sure you have some sort of structure in place that mimicks some sort of a workplace. Structure your day so you have a start and finish time, with certain hours set aside for specific activities.A good option to follow is to allow the first 1-2 hours of your working day to seek and prospect for new leads/customers.Do the important things such as writing your letters, returning or making your phone calls and sending emails so that they don’t get forgotten later.Using some sort of organizer, or software program that lets you schedule your day and have it open for easy viewing will help this. Live and die by your to-do-list. Try to have everything crossed off by the end of the day. Even my own children know that if they want me to do something for them during working hours, they have to put it on my to-do-list or it will never get done.” Stay connected.Have a diary or electronic organizer on you at all times. It is still OK to be using prehistoric items such as a paper diary but it would certainly help you a lot to upgrade to higher technology such as a Blackberry. A lot of these are not overly expensive, and the benefit of them is that they allow you to hold everything that you need and the ability to access your information instantaneously. Another good idea is to not keep all of your information in one location, such as the hard drive of your home computer. Keep your data hosted on a virtual exchange server so you can access it anywhere that has an Internet connection. A big misconception about homebased business owners is that they stay at home all day, everyday. ” Organize your family time.Ensure you don’t just focus on scheduling your professional like and forget about your family life. Maybe you noticed right away, or maybe it’s just becoming apparent, that you tend to work around the schedule of your family members. This is especially true if you have children. A lot of people, especially young moms, decide that they’re going to quit their jobs in corporate America and work from home in order to care for their children and save on daycare expenses. However, if you are really motivated and serious about succeeding and earning a substantial income from your business then you are going to have to rely on childcare, whether it be in or out of the home, at some stage. Otherwise it becomes too distracting. Consider hiring a babysitter so you’re guaranteed five to six solid hours to get your work done.” Motivate yourself. Set some short and long term goals. You no longer have quarterly reviews or progress reports, so it’s important to keep track of whether or not you’re making progress in your business. Not only do you have to set daily short term goals (like that to-do-list) but you also have to set bigger long term goals to allow to you succeed in the long run.The aim would be to earn the same, or even much more money in your own home based business than you were in your previous employment. If you aren’t, begin by setting a goal to bring in the same amount of income you were, and slowly raise the bar to increase your income by a couple of thousand a month. And ALWAYS make sure you reward yourself when you have achieved a goal you have set for yourself.” Take time out for good behavior. I know a lot of you are probably finding yourselves working 50,60, 70+ hours per week. But the good thing is, if you want to sneak out and see a movie at two in the afternoon, nobody’s going to tell you not to do it.That is the benefit of being a home business entrepreneur. Isn’t that one of things that drew you to this industry in the first place? It can be tempting to work all the time when you start seeing how successful your business has become, but know when to relax. You’ve already established a smooth-running business. Take a break every now and then so you don’t get burned out.” Be a Jack-of-all-trades. Being a home based business owner you have various roles to fill: You’re the CEO, president, secretary, office manager and tech support. You must educate yourself with the skills of office management and how to deal with daily business issues especially technical troubles. You don’t need to become an expert, but make sure you have a basic understanding of tech support issues, bookkeeping, etc. Your only other option would be to outsource it and think of how expensive that could end up being.” Networking Either via formal meetings of informal methods, network with other like minded, entrepreneurial businesspeople. You will learn a great deal from others in the industry and also avoid many common mistakes people make. Surrounding yourself with people who also work from home will give you the support you need, and refer you to people who can help you grow your business.I hope that this information is useful to those of you out there that are working hard in their business endeavours and also to those looking at this great lifestyle and career opportunity. Please visit my website for further information.
