PostHeaderIcon How to Make Your First $1 Online and Feel Great About it

When new people come online searching for ways to earn money from home, they often run smack into claims of how easy it is for them to start making thousands of dollars, practically overnight – without having to hardly lift a finger to do anything.

This is how many people get their first glimpse into the world of Internet Marketing. But are they being presented with the real deal?

No way.

Claims of easy and fast income online are false and mislead people who want to believe the hype is true. The internet is a great place to find and share valuable information of all kinds. It’s not, however, a magic gateway to easy wealth. Those pushing these types of money making systems are themselves looking to make easy bucks off of gullible people.

Now that I’ve spilled the beans on this type of scam, I want you to know that you can really make good money online – if you are realistic in your goals.

Forget about making thousands and focus on making just $1.

Why $1?

Because once you start digging into all the ins and outs of internet marketing, you’ll quickly realize that there’s a sharp learning curve you need to go through first before you can even THINK about earning thousands from your online efforts.

On the other hand, it’s real easy to see yourself earning your first $1 within a reasonable period of time. Also, this takes the pressure off of you since you don’t have to pull your hair out frantically trying to make “big money” from something that just isn’t designed to produce those kinds of returns.

Lots of people, like me, who’ve been doing the internet marketing thing for a few years, have tried and failed at many projects before we finally got our sea legs and began making real money. Trust me, when you get around to making your first dollar or two you’ll be very happy.

So, what do you need to do, realistically, to make some money online?

Here’s a few tips:

Get an Education – The world of the internet is vast and there are many ways to earn extra cash from it, BUT not by following fly-by-night get rich quick schemes. Just like any serious job you would have in the offline world, you need to be seriously trained to know how to go about it. People who are successful at this have absorbed lots of information. Get online and start doing your research.

Business or Hobby? Decide right now how you want to approach your online venture. Is it going to be something you put a lot of effort and hours into, or, is it something you want to do once in a while, more like a hobby?

There’s no right or wrong in whichever one you choose, just be aware that your results online will match your attitude towards what you’re doing. Some people enjoy it as purely a hobby – just for fun, and are happy to make a few dollars here and there. Others want to make serious part-time or full-time money. Know which category you fall in.

Work on Small Goals – Set small goals for yourself and work to achieve them. Yes, I know you’d love to be making great money from doing something online, but going for a huge target in the beginning is not the best way. Many beginners have quickly grown frustrated because their initial goal is way too big for them to possibly achieve in a short time.

Step back and set up small goals for yourself. It’s a lot easier for you to find success achieving smaller goals. This way you’ll stay motivated and avoid the frustration that leads many others to quit in frustration. The $1 is an example of a small goal. Write down this goal: “I want to make $1 doing X in 60 days.”

Now you may or may not make your first $1 in 60 days, but regardless, you will have picked up a whole lot of knowledge on learning how to accomplish this first goal.

I know that if you take these tips into consideration, you’ll be able to make your first $1 online – and more!

PostHeaderIcon Nothing Happens Until Something Moves

“Nothing happens until something moves.”-Albert EinsteinYou must take action to be successful in your life and especially in your business, that is if you want to see results. What kind of action should you take and when? First: You need a clear vision of what you want to achieve and affirm it in your thoughts as a belief -knowledge that you can have it. This sets off a process which inevitably brings your intention into the physical world. This process is beyond our control, and is all to do with the way we, and the universe we inhabit, are set up. It might seem, on the surface, that we are all individuals, isolated from each other and standing alone in a huge, complex and hostile universe. But the reality is that we are not separate – all the great teachers throughout history have said this -. There is only one intelligence – we can call it the Universal Mind – and we are manifestations of that intelligence. Our minds are to the Universal Mind as a drop of water is to the ocean – they are made of the same stuff. Our subconscious mind is where everything happens. In The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, Joseph Murphy explores how everything is possible to us through this part of our mind, and this is so because our subconscious mind is open at both ends. On one side, it is open to the conscious, thinking, directing mind; on the other side, it is open to the Universal Mind. Our conscious mind’s job is to think, and our subconscious mind’s job is to actualize those thoughts – to bring them into reality. It does this by accessing the Universal Mind. Our thoughts and our beliefs, then, are the key to creating our experience of life. Second: You need let go and to realize that we cannot control the process. We can work hard to achieve results, but we cannot engineer things the way the Universal Mind can – all the coincidences, the synchronicities, the people turning up in your life at just the right moment, all the luck and the serendipities, all that is the work of the Universal Mind. So we need to stop managing the process – we will only get in the way. Our business is to affirm our intentions in our thought. That’s all. Once we have affirmed our intention, we need to let it go, let it fly away into the Universal Mind. When you plant a seed in the ground, you don’t keep digging it up to see its progress: you know that, so long as you tend the soil, it will grow and eventually bear fruit. So it is with our intentions – keep tending them with positive thoughts and leave the process to the Universal Mind, working through your subconscious.Third: We need to be open to the opportunities which the Universal Mind presents to us. When we relax and let go, events will line themselves up to bring us what we want. We also need an open mind about what is possible. So many of us have a fixed idea about what is possible, whether we acknowledge it or not. We might, for example, simply refuse to believe that we could possibly have $1,000,000 sitting in the bank within a few days. But in truth, as soon as we believe we have something, then it is ours, and the only reason we don’t see it immediately is because we erect barriers between ourselves and the thing we desire. In a sense, our most important work is to remove these barriers, and we do this by being open-minded. Always come with an open mind, not a set of expectations. Doing these things isn’t really a way to get me fit and healthy, but they are just what fit, healthy people do. If I don’t do these things, it just shows that my intention to be healthy isn’t real. People who end up being successful see themselves as successful before they appear to be – in reality, they are successful as soon as they affirm it, and then they start to act like successful people. This removes and belief barriers that might remain. Sitting on the couch watching TV all day just isn’t what successful people do, so what makes us think that sitting around dreaming about being rich and successful is going to get us there? If we aren’t acting like it already, then we obviously don’t really want it.

Fourth: We need to act on the opportunities which are presented to us. I once read a little story which illustrates the point. A man prayed every week that he would win the lottery, but weeks, months, years went by, and he never won. Eventually he cried out to God, ‘Why won’t you let me win, just once?!’ God replied, ‘Give me a chance – at least buy a ticket!’ So many of us get the first part right – we visualize, set goals, do affirmations – but then we don’t take action! Getting what you desire isn’t hard work – you don’t need to go out and try very hard, you don’t need to ‘make your own breaks.’ But you do need to be sensitive to the opportunities being provided to you and take action when necessary. Is money going to fall from the sky into your lap? Is it just going to appear at your feet? Possibly, and I have heard stories about this happening, but this doesn’t seem to be the way things usually work. Take action!

Finally, we need to keep going. Keep believing, keep taking action, keep acting in the right way, and keep working with the natural flow of things. In the end, it isn’t the number of goals that you set for yourself that will determine your success; it is only your actions that will decide your destiny. “A real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken a new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided,” “You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action. When we choose to be successful in business and life the moment we decide not to settle for mediocrity, the moment we are prepared to step out of our comfort zone to do whatever it takes to reach our goals.

The stores selling them have constantly people inquiring about their current one or getting a new one. A market place for these phones and iPods is the App Store, where users can download or purchase applications for a low cost.

My Lots of people download (over 1 million) because it is very easy to get hooked and make a consumer addiction to this phenomenon. There are free options and you can find yourself scrolling for some time through multiple pages of apps.

But where do these applications come from? Each one has an individual creator, and anyone that successfully can code an application can submit it to use in the store. Depending on the application’s popularity, anyone could make a good amount of money for creating something that everyone else can get addicted to.

Ethan Nicholas is one of them; he spent weeks on end developing an application called “iShoot” which has earned him $800,000 in 5 months. He knew a little bit about coding, so he found an Apple guide on how to create these applications and worked on his game. After all he needed the money to support his family after his job suspended his bonus for the year. He certainly did something right.

It may be tedious and a bit difficult, but with the help of the internet and a great idea, you too could perhaps create the next iShoot. Maybe even earn a small fortune. Who knows?

PostHeaderIcon Internet Marketing: a Reflection After One Year in the Business

As autumn and cold crawl their way into Canada and the sun sets before 4 p.m., this darkness and quietness bring along a time of reflection for all of us. The assessment I want to share with you is about internet marketing. Although my list of things to do seams never-ending, I am very happy to realize all I have accomplished in less than a year ( over 40 active web sites, a hypnosis for childbirth program that already got international recognition, over 100 published articles on the net, etc)
I have been in internet marketing for a little less than a year and I have attended ten internet marketing seminars in 2006. I am the kind of person who likes to get to the bottom of things. I want to share my findings with people who are starting, thinking of starting or even stalling in the internet marketing business.
The ten biggest pieces of wisdom I want to share with you about internet marketing I have learned are:
1)The price of Internet Marketing products is highly exaggerated. Many marketers are comfortable taking hundreds of dollars for useless e-books or software. They are able to overcharge such big money for two main reasons: their customers believe their well-written sales letter promising them to become a millionaire by working only two hours per day. The second reason is that since other people have raised the bar before them, they feel comfortable with overcharging for their products.
I encourage everyone who is about to purchase any internet marketing product to take a deep breath, back up and do an internet search. Most probably, the product or its equivalent is already available for a fraction of the price on the internet.
My opinion is that no e-book is worth that much unless it provides me with the code of the safe at the bank for this internet marketer.
2)In the internet marketing business there are dreamers and there are doers. I have repeatedly met some people at internet marketing seminars who have not taken action and just keep buying the next product promising them a fast an effortless income. My experience is that it takes work (but then again I don’t see it as work as I enjoy it very much) at least in the beginning to secure a decent income in the internet marketing business.
3)Many internet marketers made their fortunes by selling products to people who want to make a fortune in the internet marketing business. Willie Crawford draws the parallel that the people who got the richest during the gold rush were the ones selling shovels and sticks to the gold diggers.
Anyone interested in internet marketing has to ask themselves if they have just been enriching the people selling them promises to make millions in the internet business.
4)There are basically three categories of internet marketers out there: the ones who just want your money, the ones who give you a good deal for your money and the ones that genuinely care about helping you making good money by sharing their efficient tactics.
I will, of course, not name any names here and I think that deep deep down people know what kind of marketers they are. I can tell you that upon trying to do a mental list of the genuine, caring ones, I had enough of my ten fingers to do the complete list.
5)The real successful internet marketers are often not on stage at seminars. I have met some very successful and knowledgeable people by talking to the person sitting next to me at seminars. I highly recommend you get to know the attendees at any given seminar; you will be surprised to sometimes find out that they know more than the speaker upfront and wiling to share everything with you…for free.
6)A masterminding group is a great resource to learn and share tricks and tips about internet marketing. The rule is to be part of a group that is about (or even better, a little above) your level of knowledge and accomplishments in internet marketing.
7)Action is power. Whatever piece of gold nugget you learn is useless if you do not take action on it. Many people are eternal course takers but have yet to get their first web site up. Even the best intended internet marketer will not make a penny if he doesn’t get his product out there. I have heard numerous times the advice to put out your product and fix the fine details later. It has been a little challenging for a perfectionist like me but, honestly, it works great. Often, customer comments allow me to go back and improve my product in ways that I would have never thought of.
8)Internet marketing is a number’s game. If you put all your eggs in one basket, you might rise very fast very high and then tumble down as fast. Diversity is the foundation for a solid business.
9)There will always be new things to learn. One cannot stay in their basement and hope that the world will not change. The internet marketing world is one that changes at the speed of light and one has to keep informed of the new trends and developments.
10)The Internet is here to stay. Internet has been growing at an astonishing rate and those who got in the game will be ahead of the pack in this exciting and powerful window to the world. The possibilities are infinite.
