There are endless different products you can promote as an affiliate marketer. If you were to achieve an excellent conversion rate of 10% on the cheaper product, this would equate to 10 sales and $150 in commissions. You would need just 1 sale out of the 100 people you referred to the other product’s sales page, ie 1%, to make the same amount of commission. Furthermore a conversion rate of 1.5% would result in an extra $75, and a 2% success rate would equate to $300 in sales – an extra $150.
These are exaggerated figures as well. A conversion rate of 10% is much higher than most people achieve, so the reality is that the difference in the amount of commission you make from promoting both items is actually far greater in most cases. So hopefully you can see why promoting expensive products is much more lucrative than making lots of sales of less expensive items.

Your friend understands your world and your way of looking at things at a deeper level than strangers or acquaintances.

This immediately sets you apart as someone they should listen to, because listening to you is like listening to themselves or someone they long to be.

Once you get this, you have much of the job done. When you understand your audience, you are in the pilot’s seat.

Furthemore, as it relates to hormones, when you demonstrate that you understand your prospects world, you will become highly attractive – those pheremones on paper. Concurrently, folks will feel a bond with you. They may even think “Hey, that’s me!”. I know I’ve felt this exact way when reading great copy from someone I haven’t met in real life.

Here are a few examples of how you can demonstrate you understand another person’s world or reality. Let’s imagine you are a copywriter and are a speaking to a mother of newborn babies:

Okay, what did I do here? The very first sentence, I get into the mother’s world (and with emotion, which we will go into later) and describe how she is feeling about her newborn baby. I even describe how baby would look at mama – dependently, in awe. I then describe what it was like to have this new addition in her life and how mama only wants the best for her child – something all moms want.

Then I provide them the solution to their concerns.

I demonstrated authority in their world. And people gravitate to those who understand their lives. Infuse this with emotional intensity and you have a winner.

Let’s take another totally different example. Imagine you are a cage match fighter. By the way, I’m not a cage match fighter or a mother and have no interest in being either (I’m all for motherhood but I’m a guy). But it would be interesting to see a combination of mom fighter cage deathmatches.

It’s time to kick some ass.

You’re in the cage. Heart is pounding, lights blinding, crowd cheering the coming typhoon locked in your fists. You see him, your opponent, your target. He sees the tiger in your eye – the killer determination to dominate his will and emerge the victor. Forget gentle. Forget Mr. Nice Guy. Forget pain. He can eat those in your knuckle sandwiches. That one feels a bit different than the last one, doesn’t it? But the method is the same – get into the person’s world, in this case a cage fighter. Describe what he’s feeling, thinking. Then offer a solution or a way they can get what they want.

Also, worth to note it – notice how this one is structured a bit differently as well. Whereas the first example had full, complete sentences, the fighter one above was more punctuated. It was comprised of shorter phrases and incomplete sentences, almost as if I were visually growling at the reader. It’s quite blunt, direct, and aggressive, like one-two punches. That is appealing to any hardcore fighter.

So you can see, two vastly different examples employing the same method of establishing authority in someone’s world simply by using words. When you demonstrate you understand your audience, what they are thinking, feeling, their goals, you automatically become attractive, much like those intoxicating pheremones in the magazines.

10) Lack of the consistency in the business and markets. I would love to say that the consistency in your business and markets is one of the most significant elements for your highly successful in long-term. You have to get to know your market, catch-up new technology and stay in your business in the long run. With this sense, you can become an outstanding among your competitors with new technology. Also, you can improve continuously your home based affiliate business all the time and stay on top in your business.

11) Rely on one affiliate internet marketing strategy. Obviously, you can not rely on one affiliate internet marketing strategy. My highest recommendation is to build multiple streams of incomes through multiple affiliate internet marketing strategies. All I can tell you is that the affiliate business is an extremely powerful business and it is a win-win situation between affiliate marketing entrepreneurs and merchants.

Traffic is essential if you want to make money online with affiliate marketing. However, not all traffic is good when you are promoting an affiliate product. You need to drive target traffic so as to increase your sales conversion rate. So what do I mean by targeted traffic?
For example, if you are an affiliate of an online florist which sells flowers in Singapore. You decide to use Google Adwords to start driving traffic to your landing page. However, not all keywords related to flowers will be useful. People typing in “Singapore Flower” may wish to know the flower that represents Singapore. On the other hand, people typing in “Online Florists Singapore” will be more likely to buy flowers online. So even though there will be people clicking through your ads that bid on the keyword “Singapore Flower”, they may not be the targeted traffic that you are looking for.

If you bid on the keyword “online florist”, when searchers type in “online florist” in Google, your advertisement will appear on the right hand side of the search result page of Google. Adwords can be the most effective way to drive targeted traffic to promote affiliate products, as long as you choose the right keywords to bid on.
2. Write articles. When you write articles about the topic that is related to the product that you are promoting, you are attracting readers who are interested in that subject to read your articles. If they like your content, they will visit the link in your Author Resource Box and find out more about the product that you are promoting.
3. Create a blog. You should create a blog with information related to the industry that you are in. For example, if you are into the forex niche, you can set up a blog and share your knowledge on forex with your readers. If you provide quality content and your readers start to trust your expertise, they will be more receptive to any forex products that you are promoting to them through your blog.
4. Forum marketing. This is another great way to drive traffic and promote affiliate products. However, do not ever think of registering to a forum and start posting a thread to promote your products directly. This is called forum spamming. You will not get any affiliate sale from this. Instead, join a forum that is related to the product or industry that you are in, and start to contribute valuable pointers to the forum. As your reputation starts to gain in the forum, members will visit the link that you place in your signature and you are now driving valuable traffic to your website.
